We had a terrific gig with Pamela Z at CU !! She is an amazing and inspiring artist.   Hat's off to the BLOrkers who composed and performed some wonderful music.

Clinic at BYU ( Brigham Young University )

I had a wonderful time with the super-creative students at BYU on Nov. 1 & 2.   We played repertoire from early jazz and these "kids" really know what they're doing!    Steve Call is their fearless leader and a great tuba/trombonist.

Telluride Jazz Festival with "Convergence" & Roberta Gambarini

What an amazing festival in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet.   Roberta Gambarini is an extraordinary musician!  I love my "Convergence" brothers.

STEM Award

I'm excited to announce I've been selected to receive a Chancellor's Award for Excellence in STEM Education Faculty Award for my proposal  "Enhancing the Pedagogy of Science, Math, and Technology Through Music:  Exploring Informal Science Education through the Arts."   Look for some exciting initiatives in 2012-13 with BLOrk and STEM.

Science of Creativity

Today I gave a lecture at CU on this fascinating topic that spans the Arts & Sciences.   In this talk I present research from neuro-scientists studying creativity and how these discoveries can inform our own creative process.
